Tree of Life Hollow

The Horses

A small, carefully managed herd of Choctaw and Cherokee strain Colonial Spanish Horses — each documented, each known by name, each here for a reason.

Our Approach

Every animal here is a considered decision.

We do not breed for volume. We breed for the long-term integrity of bloodlines that survived centuries of pressure and now exist in only a handful of programs. Our herd is small by design — no horse here is an accident of convenience or an impulse purchase. Studs are selected for documented lineage and temperament. Mares are chosen for genetic contribution. Youngstock are raised with intention, handled regularly, and placed only when the right situation presents itself.

Documentation & Registry

The record matters as much as the horse.

Conservation breeding without documentation is just breeding. Every animal at Tree of Life Hollow is registered through recognized preservation organizations and maintained according to their protocols. We contribute to the permanent genetic inventory of these strains — for researchers, registries, and future breeders.

We are members of the Horse of the Americas Registry. All breeding decisions are made with genetic diversity, strain integrity, and the long-term health of the breed in mind.

About the Breed →

Registry

Horse of the Americas Registry — all animals registered and documented to HOA protocols.

Strains

Choctaw (primary) and Cherokee strain animals, with select Huasteca influence in the Prince of Choctaws line.

Breeding Philosophy

Low volume. Intentional pairings. No horse placed without confidence in the situation. No breeding decision made for convenience.

Management

Pasture-kept, handled regularly, known individually. Minimal intervention, maximum respect for the animal’s nature.

Serious inquiries are always welcome.

We do not maintain a sales list or hold regular auctions. If you are a serious steward interested in acquiring an animal from this program — or in a breeding to one of our stallions — reach out directly. We are happy to discuss lineage, temperament, and fit.
